Irish philanthropy appointments

Two new appointments have been made to help promote charitable trust giving and philanthropy in Ireland.
In Northern Ireland James Magowan has been seconded to the Association of Charitable Foundations (ACF) from the Community Foundation NI where he was Fund Development Manager. The new position at ACF as Northern Ireland Development Officer was created to help attract additional support for foundations operating in Northern Ireland.
In the Republic of Ireland Seamus Mulconry, formerly the Director of Public Affairs for Edelman Dublin, has been appointed as Executive Director of Philanthropy Ireland.
Mr. Mulconry is a former Director of Policy for the Progressive Democrats and former Strategy Manager for Accenture. He is also a member of the Board of Headway Ireland and the executive Board of the Institute of International and European Affairs.
Philanthropy Ireland is the association of independent philanthropic organisations in Ireland, including grant making trusts and foundations.
