Kevin Kibble has joined Transplant Sport UK as its first chief executive.
He joins from The Supporter Development Team where he was development director (and will continue to work as specialist adviser). Prior to this he worked with charity dm agency Whitewater and was publisher of Professional Fundraising magazine for eight years. He is chair of the Institute of Fundraising Lodon Region and a member of of the IFC Advisory Board, a trustee of Slow Food UK and an adviser to a number of charities.
TSUK’s main aim is to raise awareness of the need for organ donation in the UK and worldwide. It promotes the benefits of exercise and sport as a means of recovery and maintaining wellbeing for people who have had major organ transplants.
It organises sports and social events including TACKERS, a children’s ski camp, a Five Nations Golf Tournament and a volleyball tournament. The jewel in its crown is the Transplant Games, an Olympic-style annual event attended by around 1,700 competitors and supporters.
Kevin’s appointment will be key to strengthening TSUK’s finances, thus enabling the organisation to further its aims and objectives.
