TSUK’s main aim is to raise awareness of the need for organ donation in the UK and worldwide. It promotes the benefits of exercise and sport as a means of recovery and maintaining wellbeing for people who have had major organ transplants.
It organises sports and social events including TACKERS, a children’s ski camp, a Five Nations Golf Tournament and a volleyball tournament. The jewel in its crown is the Transplant Games, an Olympic-style annual event attended by around 1,700 competitors and supporters.
Kevin’s appointment will be key to strengthening TSUK’s finances, thus enabling the organisation to further its aims and objectives.
