Thomas Eggar LLP extends its charity of the year partnership

Southern law firm Thomas Eggar LLP is to continue supporting end of life care and support charity St Catherine’s Hospice for a second year. Staff at the Gatwick office of the company selected the Crawley-based hospice as its chosen charity.
The law firm will sponsor the charity’s flagship event, the Dragon Boat Festival, to be held on 5 September at Knepp Castle, near Horsham in West Sussex. Thomas Eggar will be one of four sponsors of the event, which will see teams from local companies battle it out in Hong Kong-style boats.
The company will also support a number of other fundraising initiatives by the charity, including the Sussex Weald Bike Ride (23 May), the Midnight Walk (19 June), and the Crawley 10k run (17 October).
Janette Fone, Events Manager at Thomas Eggar LLP, said: “Our team did incredibly well last year to raise a grand total of £1,249.50 in sponsorship for their involvement in the Dragon Boat Festival, and we will be aiming to raise the stakes even higher in 2010”.
The firm has a dedicated charity and not-for-profit team which acts for a number of national and international charities, as well as schools, charitable trusts and social enterprises.
