CAF to manage funds from The Sun's Helping Haiti Appeal
The Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) has teamed up with daily newspaper, The Sun, to help the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. CAF will be managing funds raised by The Sun’s readers and through the sale of the Sun’s forthcoming charity single for Haiti.
The cover version of REM’s ‘Everybody Hurts’ is being put together by Simon Cowell and features stars including Take That, Kylie Minogue, Robbie Williams, Leona Lewis and James Blunt. Profits from the single will be split between the Disaster Emergency Committee’s appeal and The Sun’s Helping Haiti appeal which will enable both short term relief and longer term assistance for Haiti.
James White, Company Relations Manager at CAF said: “The Sun’s appeal has been incredibly successful showing again the enormous generosity of their readers. We’re very happy to work with The Sun to distribute funds from the Helping Haiti Appeal to charities working to help rebuild the lives of the survivors”.
Donations to the Sun’s Helping Haiti fund can be made by text, phone, online or post.
