Thomson Airways collects £1m in donated change for Family Holiday Association

Thomson Airways, the airline for holiday companies Thomson and First Choice, has now collected £1 million in small change for the Family Holiday Association since January 2009. The money is donated by its customers on inbound flights.
To mark the £1 million achievement, the Family Holiday Association has provided special Thanks A Million mugs to crew rooms in all the UK airports served by Thomson.
John McDonald, director of the Family Holiday Association said: “We thought it was important to acknowledge the commitment and hard work of Thomson Airways crew members, and to provide them with a daily reminder that the work they are doing is making a profound positive difference to the lives of struggling UK families. The amount they have raised has provided seaside breaks for over 2,000 families with young children. For most of those families it will have been their first ever holiday together.”
Chris Browne, MD of Thomson Airways, was delighted by the total and the mug. “Every time I use it,” she said, “I’ll be reminded of the thousands of UK families who have been helped thanks to the work of my crew and generosity of our customers on board.”
