Donorfy: choosing the right CRM: quick guide and requirements checklist

Does your organisation have a master IT back-up plan?

Recently our old to new server migration began to affect our Blackberries ability to receive email and our Intranet went down, which gave us an insight into the problems of interlinked systems.

So, we have now established a parallel IT back-up system, using a secondary internet email system (Google mail) and pay-as-you go phones, which we can move over to if our mobiles go down and which has no standing charge. We fortunate to already have a pile of laptops and netbooks which keep us linked to the internet, but are looking at cheap computers to run separately with a separate photocopy and scanning device.

Does anyone have a policy, practice or advice on something we have missed?

PS Our First Fridays free fundraising advice clinic starts in the New Year on Friday 5 February – from 2.00-5.00 still at the Hub Kings Cross. The first Friday of the year is actually 1st January, so we thought we’d stay in and nurse our hangovers instead.
