Boots Opticians and Dollond & Aitchison choose Action for Blind People

Howard Lake | 28 August 2009 | News

Boots Opticians, the newly merged Boots Opticians and Dollond & Aitchison business, has chosen Action for Blind People as its new charity partner.

From 1 September 2009, all Boots Opticians and D&A branches across the UK will start their fundraising activities, to support the charity’s ‘Actionnaires’ sports project. These kids clubs offer blind and partially sighted children the chance to get involved in sport, which they are so often excluded from in and out of school.

Around 680 Boots Opticians and D&A branches will support the Actionnaires clubs through branch fundraising activity and volunteering over the next 18 months.
