VisionDirect.co.uk, the online suppliers of replacement contact lenses, is to raise funds for sight-loss and eye disease charity Fight for Sight. This is the company's first charity of the year partnership and runs until the end of 2013.

From this month, every VisionDirect.co.uk customer will have the opportunity to make an additional donation of either 50p or 99p to Fight for Sight when they purchase items online. The company handles over 20,000 orders a month.

Julian Jackson, Director of Development and Marketing at Fight for Sight, said: "We hope this innovative new fundraising initiative with VisionDirect.co.uk will spread the word about the urgent need for funding into eye research to an even wider audience. By making a small contribution to Fight for Sight, VisionDirect.co.uk customers now have the opportunity to make a huge impact on our work to change the lives of people living with sight loss".
