Why your supporters are wealthier than you expect. Course details.

(Marvellous) Libraries in Yorkshire

Howard Lake | 3 July 2009 | Blogs

Never mind about the marvellous libraries in and around London. I was in Leeds this week, talking to people at the Institute of Fundraising, Yorkshire, about prospect research. Well of course that involved looking t what local libraries had to offer.

I used the website for Public Libraries on the Web and had a quick look at some of the libraries in the bigger cities, and found some great resources. Leeds has KnowUK, Who’s Who and Who was Who (available from home/work, etc., with your library card number), and the Leeds Business and Research Library has MINT. York has NewsUK, Credo Reference (formerly Xreferplus, available from home/work, etc), and is considering subscribing to a company information database (FAME) in 2010. Sheffield has Credo Reference, NewsUK (available from home/work, etc), and allows visitors to use FAME.

Good stuff!
