Gift Aid conference bursary applications close today

Applications for bursary places at next month’s Gift Aid Conference by the Institute of Fundraising close today. The free places are available to small charities, specifically those with an income of under £100,000.

If you’re not lucky enough to receive one, or you work for a larger charity, then don’t forget that UK Fundraising is running a half-day training session on Gift Aid next week.

We’ve invited Gift Aid expert Barry Gower to share his practical advice to help charities make the most of Gift Aid. This ranges from making sure that the basics of Gift Aid are being addressed, through to some innovative uses of Gift Aid in areas of fundraising that you might have thought wouldn’t qualify.

He’ll also be covering the recently announced reduction in the reclaim period for Gift Aid from six to four years.

The event costs £65 + VAT for charities, and takes place on 5 May 2009 at The Strand Palace Hotel in London (nearest tubes are Charing Cross and Covent Garden).
