BBC Blue Peter appeal deadline is this month
The BBC application guidelines state that “we are looking for an appeal that is accessible enough for every child to play a meaningful part in it, and newsworthy enough to compel every child involved to spread the word.”
Although the programme worked with three charities last year, this year they are reverting to supporting just one.
Charities can benefit projects in the UK or overseas, but not both.
The BBC is “looking for a compelling cause, an innovative fund-raising mechanism and an inspiring outcome which will encourage children to take a step to help others”.
