Haworth Cat Rescue is the first charity to feature a Twitter feed on its Bmycharity fundraising pages. This means that its supporters can now read the latest messages from the charity on the various pages set up by its supporters.
You can see an example of a supporter’s fundraising page featuring the Twitter feed at:

The West Yorkshire based charity reports that it has already benefited from an increased profile due to its active presence on Twitter.
Ben Brabyn, managing director of Bymycharity, said: “Haworth Cat Rescue is taking advantage of a unique feature of Bmycharity – the content management system which enables each charity to stream Twitter through every sponsorship page, making them dynamic and interactive platforms to appeal to the 45 (on average) people who visit each page.
“Recruiting more fundraisers, sharing news and raising awareness of real-time issues are all now possible through Bmycharity pages,” he added.
Haworth Cat Rescue is also active in other social media, highlighting its In For A Pound appeal on Facebook.
The charity’s use of Twitter on its Bmycharity pages will feature in UK Fundraising’s half-day training course on using Twitter for fundraising on 16 March in London.
