Howard Lake | 4 March 2009 | News

A first edition, first printing of ‘Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows’, the seventh book in the series, signed by author JK Rowling, is being auctioned online for Children with AIDS on Celeb2nds.com.
The auction site was founded in 2006 by Steve Howell and raises funds for charities using authentic celebrity memorabilia. He describes Celeb2nds.com as a site that “allows users to get their hands on money can’t buy items from their celebrity idols, whilst raising money for some very worthy charities.”
Richard Barker collected the signed items. He created The Make A Child Smile Appeal for Children with AIDS and is also a non-executive Director of Celeb2nds.
Other items being auctioned on the site include donations from John Travolta, Sir Richard Branson and Dame Elizabeth Taylor.
The signed Harry Potter book auction closes on 7 March 2009; 85% of the proceeds from the book’s sale will be donated to CWAC.
