The Princess Alice Hospice Trust has selected retail management system CHARiot from Maxa Solutions to help it develop its charity shops fundraising activities.
Retail EPOS system CHARiot includes a Gift Aid module that enables charities to claim Gift Aid on donated goods with a mainly paperless system with “a full retail recording, reporting and communications functionality”. The completion of Gift Aid details can either be prompted on screen, or a form can be printed on the receipt printer.
Its tiling screen is touch-screen based. It includes features that are designed to reduce entry mistakes: for example, if the keys are pressed in the wrong order, it will either not allow the function or it will suggest what the user might wish to be attempting.
The Princess Alice Hospice Trust reports that the system has improved the availability of business information both within the shops and at head office, and has helped the integration of its merchandise planning, purchase ordering and distribution network.
