Bank supports Help the Hospices with Christmas campaign

Howard Lake | 3 December 2008 | News

The Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank has launched a matched giving Christmas fundraising campaign to support local hospices through Help the Hospices.
Every branch of Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank will be taking part in the activities, with employees giving a suggested donation of £1 for a Christmas Star or a sachet of ‘Reindeer food’, a mixture of glittering oats for Santa’s Reindeer. All funds raised by staff will be matched pound for pound by the bank.
Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank has been the corporate supporter of Help the Hospices since February 2008. Each branch is paired with its local hospice, enabling employees and customers to be actively involved in a range of fundraising activities within the community.
Community Investment Manager, Jacqui Atkinson, who is leading the bank’s partnership, said: “So far we have already exceeded our target, raising over £250,000 for hospice care in less than a year, so this is another great opportunity for staff to raise money for hospices.”
