British Energy chooses MS Society as charity of the year

Howard Lake | 19 November 2008 | News

Staff members at British Energy have chosen the MS Society as their charity of the year for 2008-09.
The partnership was launched at a reception on the Terrace of the House of Commons yesterday when Secretary of State for Health, Alan Johnson MP, announced the partnership in the presence of fellow politicians and representatives from British Energy and the MS Society.
This is the fourth year that British Energy has joined up with a national charity; last year the power company raised more than £500,000 for Help the Hospices.
British Energy operates nine UK power stations and staff at each site will work with their local branch or branches of the MS Society to make a difference to local people in their area.
