Book Aid International's first online auction raises £2,360

Book Aid International’s first online auction has raised at least £2,360. Celebrities, authors and politicians donated copies of the book that has most inspired them, and signed them. A number of prominent illustrators also donated original artwork to be auctioned.
The auction took place on eBay using the eBay for Charity service.
A copy of ‘Suite Francaise’ by Irene Nemirovsky signed by Helen Mirren sold for £160, and ‘In the Blink of an Eye’ by Walter Murch, signed and inscribed by Alan Rickman, sold for £377.65.
Leader of the Conservative Party, David Cameron, selected and signed ‘Goodbye to All That’ by Robert Graves which sold for over £100, and illustrations by Nick Sharratt and Sian Bailey also both sold for over £100 each.
