Bailout Rejected: Please Help the Rich

With the subtitle “Wealthy financial institutions don’t have enough of your money yet”, this is a spoof DRTV fundraising appeal on behalf of ‘Save-a-Mega-Firm Miracle Fund’, courtesy of Funny or Die.
“Why not sponsor a floundering financial institution?” asks the presenter.
“For less than the price of a cup of coffee every day you could help keep a poorly managed corporation afloat” he adds.
Supporters of this fund can receive updates from the bankers that they are sponsoring. One grateful letter is read out:
“Dear Linda, thank you for the $40. Yesterday I was able to renew my subscription to Super Yacht Quarterly. PLus Lehman Brothers gave me a $2.4 million bonus. It was the first time I have smiled in many weeks.”
Funny? Obvious? Maybe, but it made me smile.
