Turn2us appoints its first head of fundraising

Turn2us, the charity dedicated to helping people in financial need access the grants and benefits available to them, has appointed Ikram Dahman as its first Head of Fundraising.
She has over ten years experience in the voluntary sector with charities such as Macmillan Cancer Support and NSPCC. With her corporate partnerships background, she has led on the strategic development and delivery of a number of successful multi-million pound partnerships with some of the UK’s top companies.
Turn2us was launched at the House of Commons in October 2007 by its Chief Executive Jolanta Lasota. Its website, which includes a benefits checker, a database of grant-giving charities, and online enquiry and application forms, already receives an average of over half a million hits [sic] each month.
