The next meeting of the Insight in Fundraising Special Interest Group (SIG) will focus on segmentation in fundraising – how to do it and how to apply it.
The event for the insight and fundraising analytics community will take place on 13 May from 14.00 – 17.00 at the Auditorium, Amnesty International, 17-25 New Inn Yard, London EC2. The nearest Tube is Old Street.
The event will feature a mixture of theory and practice from skilled and experienced speakers with cases drawn from Britain’s charities about their experiences and procedures for segmentation for good or ill. There will be opportunities for audience questions and interaction and the event will close with a panel session, and PDFs of speaker presentations.
John Sauvé-Rodd, Chair of the Insight in Fundraising SIG (30 mins), will begin with a background and introduction to segmentation which he describes as “one of the greatest arts of marketing”.
Nigel Magson, Chair of Tangible Data (previously Talking Numbers) and Vice Chair of the Insight SIG, will then present on ‘basic fundraising segmentation for the smaller charity: how to make RFM variations really work hard and boost fundraising performance’.
Scott Logie, Strategy Director, Occam Direct Marketing, will then cover ‘advanced segmentation How the big boys do it: examples of how to do, and how to apply advanced segmentation’.
The concluding panel session featuring the above speakers will be hosted by Marc Parry, Senior Data Analyst at tearfund.
There is a flat rate cost for all attendees of £15, which includes refreshments.
