Are we Virgin on a massive windfall for UK charities?

Following the BA and Virgin fuel overcharge scandal, US charities stand to benefit from any unclaimed refunds. Perhaps UK charities should start planning how to get their hands on this potentially huge windfall? Would be fuelish not to try…or would some find it unethical to accept donations derived at in this way?
