Institute announces seminar programme

The Institute of Fundraising in Northern Ireland has revealed its series of lunchtime training seminars for 2008. The events throughout the year will cover a diverse range of fundraising methods and techniques for both professional and volunteer fundraisers.
Experts in their fields have been booked to provide concise, informative and relevant information in relation to fundraising in Northern Ireland. Sessions take place over lunchtime and end in the early afternoon.
This programme has been developed by the Institute of Fundraising Northern Ireland Committee in Association with the Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action.
The programme details are:
–16 Jan 2008: Let there be Peace III: with Eimear Murphy, Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB)
–20 Feb 2008: New Media Fundraising: with Liz Roche, Irish Red Cross (confirmed)
–19 Mar 2008: Where there’s a Will: legacy fundraising with Denny Elliot, Red Socks Consulting
–16 April 2008: Getting the Best from Gift Aid: with Neil Irwin, NICVA
–21 May 2008: Getting My Goat – Virtual Gifts: with Paul Kane, Trocaire
–17 Sep 2008: Raising Standards – Self-regulation of fundraising: with Kate Higgins, NI and Scotland Development Officer
–15 Oct 2008 : Meet the Funder – Comic Relief
The Institute will have its conference on 26th June and a one day training course on 19th November.
