Barclays PLC were winners of two prestigious awards at the fourth annual Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) Companies and Communities Awards, picking up two accolades – the Effective Stakeholder Engagement Award and the Effective Company Giving Award.
The Innovation Award was won by Compass Group for its role in the Hoxton Apprentice training restaurant, which was opened by the Training for Life charity and Compass Group in 2004.
The Companies and Communities Awards recognise and reward organisations that are leading the way in CCI (Corporate Community Investment).
At the awards ceremony CAF launched The role of stakeholder engagement in Corporate Community Investment, new research which revealed that companies are increasingly engaging stakeholders, including customers, employees and local communities, in the development and delivery of their community programmes.
