smartchange helps RBS Group win payroll giving award
The Royal Bank of Scotland Group won this year’s won prestigious Pay Award for Payroll Giving with some technological help from Smartchange.
The Award was presented to Alan Richardson and Jane McDonagh of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group at the ceremony for the payroll profession held at the London Marriott Grosvenor Square on Monday 24-November-2003.
The Payroll Giving Award recognises the achievements made by employers and their payroll departments in setting up payroll giving schemes and is sponsored by the Giving Campaign.

The Royal Bank of Scotland Group won because of their great efforts promoting the scheme to their employees and their commitment to local communities demonstrated by their double matching scheme. By using the smartchange online payroll donation solution and working with CAF, The Royal Bank of Scotland Group have been able to maintain and increase very high levels of participation in their payroll giving scheme allowing £5.4 million to be donated to charity in 2002 and a staff participation level of 12.7%.
