New fundraising conference for smaller organisations announced

Fundraising consultancy Company Solutions is to run a new conference next year which aims to give practical help to smaller organisations in their fundraising. Practical Fundraising 2008 will be held in London on 5 March 2008.
Company Solutions’ CEO Gareth Edwards explained that the event is designed to be different to other fundraising conferences. “Many conferences focus on the large non profits and are held in expensive venues, charging a high price for attendance.” Practical Fundraising 2008 aims to serve the smaller organisations.

Edwards said that the conference’s speakers are almost entirely current practitioners. Speakers include Howard Rose (Yorks Childrens Foundation/H Rose Associates). Ben Brabyn (bmycharity), Chris Conroy (Choysez), Nigel Rose and Helen Jeffery.
Full price for delegates is £139 plus VAT, and discounts are available. Delegates receive a full detailed conference handbook and special reports, plus a free 12-month membership of the Practical Fundraising Association.
