Tesco’s ‘One of Britain’s Favourites’ cross-brand cause-related marketing campaign has raised £751,000 for the British Red Cross. It was the largest campaign of its kind run by the supermarket.

Tesco offered over 60 products in the campaign, each of them ‘One of Britain’s Favourites’, including Heinz Baked Beans, PG Tips, and Hellmann’s Mayonnaise, and donated 5p from the sale of each item.

Tesco attributed the campaign’s success to “the combination of best-selling products in Tesco with the instantly recognisable, well-trusted and respected charity, the British Red Cross”.
