Football Foundation launches redeveloped website
The Football Foundation, which says it is the UK’s largest sports charity, has launched a redeveloped website which it hopes will help reduce the time it takes to get a grant by 50%.
New features on the site include a facility for online applications where users can save half-completed work and return to complete it later.
The site features information about the funding opportunities offered by the Foundation, such as building or upgrading sports facilities, running community projects or free kit and equipment for junior teams.

Minister for Sport Gerry Sutcliffe MP has welcome the new site, saying: “The Football Foundation has already supported projects worth over £500 million since 2000, with the introduction of a new website and online application process, even more communities will be able to access their funding than ever before.”
The Football Foundation is dedicated to revitalising the grass roots of the game, constructing modern football facilities, developing football as a force for social cohesion and as a vehicle for education in communities throughout the country. Funded by the FA Premier League, The Football Association, Sports England and the Government, the Football Foundation has a £45 million budget “going straight into the heart of football”.
