Howard Lake | 11 October 2007 | News

HRH The Princess Royal will name a new train after Save the Children – the charity of which she is president.
The naming of the Great Western High Speed Train power car takes place at platform 1 of Paddington Station, Praed Street, London, on Thursday 18th October at 15.20. The name plate will also feature Save the Children’s logo.
Transport company FirstGroup, First Great Western’s parent company, named Save the Children as its charity of choice earlier this summer. The partnership is worth £1m in corporate donations, in kind support (including gifts and employee volunteering) and fundraising initiatives.
