Leonardo information day in Belfast

Howard Lake | 3 October 2007 | News

Organisations interested in taking part in the EU Leonardo, Grundtvig or Transversal programmes can attend an information day in the offices of the Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action on Friday 12 October 2007. These programmes are part of The Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP), a European funding programme which supports education and training across Europe.

LLP is made up of six different programmes covering the whole spectrum of lifelong learning. ECOTEC is the National Agency for three of these programmes:

–Leonardo supports the development of skills and training. It funds work placements for trainees, workers and staff, and supports European partnership projects to improve quality in training.

–Grundtvig is a passport to partnerships and training opportunities for adult education organisations, teachers and learners.

–The Transversal Programme supports education and training organisations in the areas of policy, languages, ICT and dissemination.

ECOTEC is responsible for a programme of study visits designed to share best practice in education across Europe.

The information day will provide a chance to get to know the ECOTEC team and to find out all you need to know about the programmes before the next application deadlines in early 2008. You can register online at www.leonardo.org.uk
