Newly weds Dublin charity bed push

Newly weds Barry and Anne Hynes have made a quite unconventional start to their life together.

The pair spent ten days of their honeymoon in Moldova helping while there to conduct a first summer camp for the poor and needy children from two remote villages in that country.

Then last Saturday the couple sportingly took part in a bed push through Blackrock to raise money for charity Crosscause.

The couple who married in Anne’s homeland in Germany in August, gladly agreed to be pushed along the streets as part of the fund raising venture.

Barry is a director of Crosscause that has engaged in the re-housing of orphans, providing care homes to transfer them from state institutions and look after them in fully equipped new or converted facilities.

The charity also is branching out into other activities, such as the summer camp, to aid the poor and needy in Romania and nearby Moldova.

It regularly sends truck loads of aid to the countries, and Conor Hughes who instigated the foundation of the charity is travelling out there in the next number of weeks.
