New Head of Major Donors and Legacies at NDCS

Ian Govendir has been appointed Head of Major Donors and Legacies at The National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS).

Govendir’s previous posts include CEO of the Complementary Health Trust in 1993, CEO of the British Lung Foundation until 1997, Marketing manager at Jewish Care until 2002, and Head of Membership and Fundraising at Carers UK until 2004. He also recently trained as a life coach and currently runs his own practice. He has a Master’s degree in Marketing from Lancaster and a Diploma from the Chartered institute of Marketing.

Tobin Aldrich, NDCS Director of Fundraising and Communications, said: “Ian… brings with him a wealth of experience from his previous posts within the charity sector. His expertise in marketing and fundraising will enable him to develop our major donors and increase our income from this area.”
