Blackbaud offer special interest packages at annual conference

Blackbaud is offering special interest packages to delegates at its annual conference, focusing on Gift Aid, Internet applications and the Arts and Cultural sector. These offer lower cost entry for those interested only in one of the three special issues.
The sixth Blackbaud European Conference takes place on 8-9 October. Over 250 delegates have registered for a programme featuring over 70 sessions from about 50 speakers.
This year Blackbaud is offering a range of ‘special interest packages’ (SIP) for those who might wish to attend sessions on only a particular topic. This year the key themes are Gift Aid, Internet applications and the Arts and Cultural sector.

Martin Jervis, Managing Director Blackbaud Europe, said: “These SIPs have been made available to the sector given the level of interest in their specialist content. We have sector and Blackbaud experts presenting the very latest initiatives to help organisations either gather information or develop ideas further. We encourage an open forum.”
The Gift Aid track will feature six sessions over the two days, featuring speakers from HMRC and independent consultants who work only with not-for-profit organisations. Topics to be covered include pptimising Gift Aid Income, Gift Aid and major donors, what to expect in an HMRC audit, and Gift Aid and sponsorship.
The nine Internet sessions include best practices for not-for-profit websites, improving your email communication, how charities are using the newest new media to fundraise, and online fundraising and stewardship.
The Arts and Cultural track features eight sessions covering issues including marketing your venue, revenue management in the cultural sector, audience development, and building up profiles of prospective customers.
Prices for each special interest package are £295, a saving of £195 on the full Conference rate. Attendees will also benefit from networking with peers across the sector as well as taking part in the social opportunities. Places are limited so Blackbaud encourage prompt registration.
