Red Foundation launches v Stage 2 funding advice service

Howard Lake | 15 September 2007 | News

Red Foundation, the community interest company that promotes social action and volunteering, is offering a support service for organisations that have been short-listed for Stage 2 funding from volunteering agency v. It is open to both existing and new clients.

The Foundation had previously offered an advice service for organisations that had applied to v for the first stage of funding and who had been shortlisted to go forward to the second stage. IT reports that this service achieved an 84% success rate.

The service was delivered through a team of experienced youth volunteering advisors, some of whom have worked directly with v on the development of their national youth volunteering programme.

Red’s Director Jamie Thomas said: “‘Of course no funding advice service can ever guarantee success so we are really pleased that we have been able to help these organisations so successfully, especially as several submitted bids to Strands 1 and 2, both of which were made it through.”

Red Foundation’s ‘Stage 2’ support service will operate on a similar basis – virtually via email and telephone, and will again be priced at a fixed fee, £275 per bid.
