Chicory Challenge offers £5,000 prize to a charity

The Dutch Produce Association has launched a competition with a £5,000 top prize for a charity, school or college, and second and third prizes of £1,000 and £500. To enter you need to submit a new recipe using chicory.
Popular in European cuisine, chicory is little known and little used in UK kitchens. Yet is a versatile vegetable which can be used raw in salads or cooked in a wide variety of dishes.
The Chicory Challenge aims to draw attention to chicory’s potential and inspire English cooks to create some great new chicory recipes.
