Community Channel offers grants for North East arts or crafts

The Community Channel, Community Foundation, and Voluntary Arts England are seeking applications from voluntary amateur arts or crafts groups and individuals for 50 grants. Applicants must be based in the North East of England and can be an existing arts or crafts group or they can be setting up a new one.
There are 50 grants available ranging from £400 up to £1,000. Successful applicants will also be invited to exhibit their arts and crafts “at a major venue” in late July 2007.
Eligible applicants need to have, or be seeking, members aged 25 years or more who:
* have no formal qualifications, or
* are living with a disability and/or long-term limiting illness, or
* are from a Black Minority Ethnic community (specifically Bangladeshi, Pakistani or Chinese)
The deadline for grant applications is 11 June 2007.
