Third Sector launches expanded Excellence Awards

Howard Lake | 18 May 2007 | News

Third Sector magazine has launched its annual Excellence Awards for charities. This year the number of categories has jumped from 14 to 24, and the awards have been rejigged to match the seven subject headings in the At Work section of the magazine – communications, fundraising, finance, partnerships, management, governance and innovation.

Entry is open to all voluntary organisations based in the UK, whether charities, campaigning groups or social enterprises. Agencies and consultancies are also permitted to enter on behalf of voluntary organisations with whom they work.

Entries can be made in as many categories as an organisation likes and projects can be entered in more than one category.

There is no charge for voluntary organisations to enter, while the fee for commercial organisations is £50 plus VAT.

New categories in this, the third year of the awards, include best fundraising event, best finance team, and innovation in grant-making.

The closing date for entries is 29 June 2007.
