CARE launches Ben More Challenge in Scotland

Howard Lake | 17 January 2007 | News

Overseas aid and development agency CARE International has announced the launch of their very first event taking place exclusively in Scotland, which aims to raise at least £50,000 for its humanitarian work. The CARE 3 Peaks Scotland Challenge is scheduled for the weekend of 23-24th June 2007.
The Challenge is open to corporate teams of 4-6 walkers, from any sector. It tests participants to push their physical boundaries to the limit, by climbing Scotland’s 3 Ben More (“Big Hill”) mountains – Ben More Crianlarich (1174m), Ben More Assynt Inchnadamph (998m) and Ben More Mull (966m) – all within 24 hours. Each team must also raise £5,000 for CARE.
Teams will be supported every step of the way during their preparations in the run-up to the event, however, with on-hand training and fundraising support from CARE’s in-house Challenge Team, who are also running the event.
