Bluefrog offers £40,000 to tackle sector's major problem
Fundraising agency Bluefrog is offering around £40,000 to help address whatever the charity sector tells them is its biggest problem. But suggestions for what this might be need to be sent by the end of today.
The agency has already contacted 150 senior fundraisers and consultants to ask them for their views. Once the answers are in Bluefrog undertakes to do something about it, whether that is hiring a lobbyist, or paying for advertising to campaign for the change.
What would you like to see an end to? Bluefrog’s Managing Director Mark Phillips suggested that he “would quite like to stop TPS (a system designed to protect us from double glazing salesmen) compromising the recruitment efforts of good causes. And we’d be very happy if mobile phone operators weren’t quite so keen to hang onto such a high proportion of donations made via SMS.”

But the final result could be different, depending on responses.
This is the first of a two-part initiative from Bluefrog. “We want to stop something and start something else”, said Mark Phillips, promising to explain the latter development in due course.
Suggestions for the sector’s biggest problem should be emailed to Bluefrog today.
