Institute Announces Launch of Updated Foundation Course

Howard Lake | 11 January 2007 | Newswire

The Institute of Fundraising (‘Institute’) announces the launch of a revised and updated Foundation Course in Fundraising Practice for 2007, incorporating updates in charity law legislation and best practice. The updated Foundation Course includes a new session from Professor Adrian Sargeant on the segmentation and motivation of donors.
Completion of the Foundation Course in Fundraising Practice and its associated practice based assignment leads to the Institute of Fundraising’s Certificate in Fundraising Management, the qualification for professional fundraisers. The Foundation Course is one of the most comprehensive introductions to fundraising available anywhere within Europe, and is available both in-house to charities and as a public course on the Fundraising Programme. It has been designed to extend participants’ knowledge and skills of the planning and practice of fundraising, and their ability to identify and address their fundraising needs.
Amanda Shepard, Director of Professional Development at the Institute of Fundraising comments of the updated Foundation Course in Fundraising Practice: “The Institute regularly updates all its courses to reflect changing trends and legislation. In addition the Foundation Course has recently undergone a full review and has new, stimulating content. We are pleased to be able to add contribution from Professor Adrian Sargeant to our newly-updated course.”
