CTT now handling one million emails a month for charity clients

Charity Technology Trust (CTT) has for the first time sent over one million email newsletters and campaign items in one month for its 90 or so email clients. The charity set up in 2001 to help charities leverage new technology to improve efficiency, hit its record in October. Indeed, since the beginning of 2006, CTT has distributed over 9 million email items.

William Hoyle, CTT’s CEO, said that he is convinced that CTT has been instrumental in encouraging charities to consider electronic media as a viable alternative to traditional DM with all of the consequential benefits.

Kathy Chellew, web editor at the Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital and an email client of CTT said: “CTT has held our hand while we tentatively dipped our toes in the e-newsletter waters. We’ve been so pleased by the experience that we’re expanding our range of e-newsletters.”
