Oxfam uses video streaming on its Bmycharity fundraising pages

Oxfam is the first charity to use online fundraising service Bmycharity’s new video streaming facility for its Trailwalker fundraising pages. Charities can now upload video clips to their Bmycharity pages to make the most of their messages.

Sacha Anthony, Head of Charity Services at Bmycharity, said: “This is an exciting development for online fundraising. Streaming sound and video through personal sponsorship pages enables charities to recruit more event participants and explain to donors how their donations make a difference.”

Bmycharity say that every fundraising page set up by a participant is on average seen by more than 30 people.

Anthony added: “Currently, no other online fundraising provider uses video streaming. We are delighted to be harnessing this technology to help charities raise their profile amongst donors”.
