New fundraising codes open for consultation

Howard Lake | 18 October 2006 | News

The Irish government is carrying out research in order to make recommendations on how the operational aspects of charitable fundraising can be effectively regulated through codes of good practice. The government is inviting feedback from interested parties.

To progress the codes of practice, the Irish Charities Tax Research group in conjunction with the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs is coordinating the research. To assist with submissions a consultation paper is available from ICTRL at www.ictr.ie.

Submissions can be made by any group or individual and there is a list of consultation meetings on the ICTRL website. The closing date for submissions is December 15th.
