BLACKS HELP YOUNGSTERS ABSEIL THEIR TROUBLES AWAY
Blacks, the outdoor experts are giving all adrenaline junkies a chance to abseil in the heart of London and raise money at the same time. On 14th and 15th October, selected participants who raise £200 or more, will be able to climb down the 350ft Union Jack Building in Waterloo and donate the proceeds to the Outward Bound Trust. The participant, who raises the most money, will also win £100 worth of Blacks vouchers.
Blacks are a corporate patron of the Outward Bound Trust, who are an educational charity that set up events in the outdoors to help young people overcome their fears and boost their self-esteem. The group have a number of high profile supporters, including Tony Blair, who believe that by overcoming these challenges, young people will be better prepared for the world of work.
Blacks Commercial Director, Mark Wotton said: We are delighted to be helping the Outward Bound Trust. As a team of keen outdoors enthusiasts, we are always looking to help the next generation follow in our footsteps. By running this event, we at Blacks hope everyone will enjoy taking part and that a fantastic amount of money can be raised, enabling more youngsters to overcome their fears.”
The Outward Bound Trust’s Events Manager, Charlotte Fletcher said: We are very grateful to Blacks for their continuing support to our charity. By raising as much money as possible, we hope the young people who benefit from our work, continue to overcome the obstacles put in front of them.
