Charity workers will receive training and development support as part of a new charity award launched by the Centre for Strategy and Communication, a training and management consultancy for the non-profit and public sectors, to mark its 10th anniversary.

Education Action has been announced as the winner of the inaugural award. The charity defends the educational rights of people affected by war and conflict. It has won not only a £5,000 donation to the charity, but also a further £5,000 worth of staff training and consultancy for its staff.

Announcing the award, the Centre’s Chief Executive, Liz Sewell said: “The Centre for Strategy and Communication is about valuing and supporting staff, particularly through our training programme. It is important to us that the award reflects this. By donating £5,000 worth of training, the winning charity’s employees also benefit directly from the award.”
