OU Business School offers scholarships for CIFM

Howard Lake | 17 August 2006 | News

The Open University Business school is offering £500 scholarships towards the distance learning route to the Certificate in Fundraising Management.

The OU scholarship will support learners through ‘Winning Resources and Support’, the six-month distance learning programme it developed with the Institute of Fundraising, which normally costs between £750 and £1,200.

Applications for the scholarships are invited from any fundraiser – voluntary or professional – earning less than £25,000 in an organisation with an annual turnover of less than £2m. Priority will be given to those applications that demonstrate a realistic attitude to the commitment required and show clearly how fundraising skills will benefit their organisation and personal development.

The course uses a combination of specially written texts, face-to-face and online interaction, together with professionally relevant assignments. The course starts in November and applications have to be submitted to the OU Business School by Friday, 8 September.
