Barnardo's seeks volunteers for street collections outside Tesco stores

Children’s charity Barnardo’s is hoping to recruit 14,000 volunteers to take part in a public collection outside Tesco stores, with the aim of raising £250,000.

The charity is asking volunteers, as well as staff and service users over 16, to commit two hours of their time to collect outside their local Tesco store on Friday 29 or Saturday 30 September 2006.

Collections will take place in around 738 UK Tesco stores, excluding petrol stations and Express stores.
