Charities invited to apply to cash machine donation scheme

Howard Lake | 26 October 2011 | News

Independent ATM operator Bank Machine is inviting UK charities to apply to benefit from its cash machine donation system which is due to launch next year.
Bank Machine, a division of Cardtronics Inc, operates over 3,500 cash machines. The donations option will go live during April 2012.
Over 100 charities applied on the day that the initiative was announced. Applications must be made before the end of November 2011.
Bank Machine’s Managing Director Ron Delnevo said: “We believe many millions of pounds can be raised for good causes and we want to give as many charities as possible the opportunity to apply to participate at Bank Machine ATMs. Bank Machine will select from those charities that apply directly to us.”
He added: “Almost everyone in the UK uses ATMs, so what could be easier and more fulfilling than, when we are getting some cash out for ourselves, at the same time sending a donation to support charities which work with the most needy in our country and overseas?”
