HSF Charitable Trust donates £1,500 to the International Glaucoma Association

HSF health plan has for some time been working closely with the International Glaucoma Association (IGA) and this year, during Glaucoma Awareness Week (5th – 12th June 2006), the HSF Charitable Trust contributed £1,500 to helping the 500,000 sufferers of glaucoma in the UK.

Glaucoma is recognised as the leading cause of preventable blindness worldwide, and affects over 500,000 people in the UK. Glaucoma is the name of a group of conditions that cause damage to the main optical nerve of the eye.

During Glaucoma Awareness Week HSF health plan made a donation to IGA for every new customer to joinining its extensive health cash plan scheme. HSF health plan and IGA are seeking to encourage people to take better care of their eyesight, have regular check-ups at the optician and be more alert to any changes that they may experience with their vision.
