UCF Daffodil Raffle Success

Howard Lake | 7 June 2006 | News

Nearly 10,000 people took part in this year’s Ulster Cancer Foundation Daffodil Raffle which raised £236,00, the highest amount ever.

This was UCF’s 18th Daffodil Appeal and this year’s money was specifically raised to support their work on bowel cancer prevention. The raffle was conducted by phoning people and asking them to take a number of raffle tickets to sell. The telemarketing is outsourced.

The figure raised was an increase on previous years and the charity is soon to run another similar raffle which will raise money for breast cancer.
