Roy Castle Foundation hits recycling appeal target

Howard Lake | 1 March 2006 | News

The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation has reached its target of £125,000 with its Recycling Appeal, which asks supporters to donate old mobile phones and printer cartridges for recycling on the charity’s behalf.

The Foundation has been running the appeal with recycling company Redeem Plc for over five years.

Janine Drew, Fundraising Manager for The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation said: “It really just goes to show that it is possible to make something out of nothing. We would urge people who still currently throw away their old mobile phones and cartridges to take just a few moments of their time to donate them instead. It is free, simple to do and really does make a difference.”
